The Tier System Explained

The Tier System is Fort Phoenix's advanced coaching option. It ranges across 3 Tiers, each offering a different level of intensity, detail and ambition. This system was designed to make accessing a Coach more cost effective than the conventional and expensive 10 x PT sessions model.

How does it work? 

The thinking behind the mechanics that would become the Tier System was, what do most people ACTUALLY need to get in shape and/or achieve their gym goals?



1. DURATION 

Most PTing experiences are short and unsuccessful as their cost weighed against; economics, priorities, and the cost of living, limits most people's potential to fulfil the duration, fluency & intensity necessary to effect lasting change.

By assessing people for their character strengths and training knowledge rather than just, their physical weaknesses. Fort Phoenix utilises the skills and the tangibles you have already, to eradicate much of the unnecessary and expensive in-person coaching hours. 

That time is put to better use further serving the individual to:


  • design an effective and tailored weekly programme consisting of multiple sessions


  • checking in and updating multiple workouts with the same intent and outcome as you would receive in a single PT session 


  • use factors and motivators such as weekly Weigh Ins to track results and progress


  • and many more 


By doing so, Fort Phoenix literally is taking 12 hours worth of PTing and restructuring it to provide you with 12 weeks, 48 - 60 sessions, 16 Weigh ins, and constant interaction. Culminating in sizeable duration and enough fluency & intensity to effect lasting change.



2. ACCOUNTABILTY 


Without doubt the biggest reason for most people acquiring a PT is accountability. This holds true in most scenarios. The trouble with this dynamic is that if all your progress only exists in the comfort and confines of your PT sessions. If that PT was to be removed from that equation, in most instances (short duration being a key factor), those individuals will struggle to maintain attendance or intensity, never mind progress.

For Fort Phoenix, accountability played an important part in the designing aspect and decision making of the Membership model we created. On the most basic level your absence will be felt, acknowledged and challenged by your Coaches, the other Members, your friends, and ultimately yourself. The Tier System builds further on this premise by asking compliance with: nutrition, daily targets, weigh ins, tailored workouts and other methods that elevate the level of accountability, and therefore your outcome.

3. THE DETAILS 


We have all seen it. People that will go to the gym on a consistent basis but be stagnant in their development and progress. Clearly, this isn't due to a lack of effort, so what could be holding this individual back?

We live in a time where most 8 year olds could structure you a workout from exercises they have seen on Tik Tok. As we all know, regardless of the profession, the most valuable entity is, the Trained Eye. There is a 'knowing' that comes from 1,000s and 1,000s of reps; be it a school teacher, a mechanic, a bricklayer, a policewoman, etc. 

It is for this very reason every professional athlete has a Coach. 

The latter stages of the Tier System hones in on individuality and gets to the details. Through consulting, planning and constant analytics we get to the fabric of what:

  • drives Weight Loss 
  • brings about successful Body Recomposition
  • increases your Strength, Athletic Performance, Physicality, etc 
  • shift your mindset to the approach and to achieving your goals

The GREEN scale indicates our early morning & late evening Zones. The are to be booked 

8-hours in advance for security reasons.

Open Zones are used to distinguish which Zones can be booked using a Class Pass. These type of Zones are used to replace Classes that have been rescheduled, replaced or otherwise.

Examples are; PT SESSIONS, CONSULTATIONS, WEIGH-INs, etc.

- both Classes & Zones 

On the rare occasion you are outside the booking window, you are welcome to contact your Coach to arrange your booking. Please try your best to operate within the designated schedule to avoid disappointment. 


The schedule's purpose is structure and it offers flexibility. At times you may be running early or late for your Zone, and we would welcome you to still attend. The only ask would be you respect the space of those on time, and make the sacrifices necessary to allow them to keep their flow. 


Again, like above, the schedule purpose is structure and it is not rigid. If you find your session running a little over the allotted hour, feel free to remain and complete your session. They only ask and requirement expected from you is 'giving way' to those coming in and starting their Zones. 


The 3 Unlimited Passes (Unlimited Classes, Unlimited Zones & Unlimited Classes & Zones) are subscriptions and all carry a 4-month contractual period. Beyond these 4-months you can exit or change your subscription at any occasion before your next payment. Just inform us when you would like to do so. 


The Late Cancellation & No Show Fee is in place, in order for us to keep the integrity of the Unlimited Passes. Any Unlimited system runs the risk of misuse, and this fee ensures that these Unlimited options remain freedoms, and not luxuries. 


A late cancellation is any booking that is cancelled less than 24-hours before it was due to occur. The 24-hour time frame is based on the reality and possibility of someone else been able to book that slot. It also factors in that others may have wanted to book but were hindered in doing so. 


Where can I park?

SIDE OF THE BUILDING

  • BEST FOR: Evening bookings from 17:30 onwards, perfect for those attending the 18:00 Classes and 19:00 onwards Zones


  • We aim to accommodate approx. 4 cars here please 


  • PLEASE DON'T USE IN THE MORNING or DURING THE DAY

DES BOX

These Des Box bays operate a Mon - Sat 09:00 - 17: 00 parking zone. They are 1 minute walk to the Fort. 


  • BEST FOR: Early morning Zones before 9:00 and great for evening bookings, ie: Evening Classes, Zones after 17:00


  • PARKING FEES ARE: approximately 85p an hour and they us the Ring Go app


ALDI CAR PARK

Aldi offers 90 minute free parking. Though they require you to enter your registaration in-store. 


BEST FOR: Those attending the Fort for an hour slot and wanting to grab a few bits from Aldi after wards. 

BROOK STREET

These Brook Street bays operate a Mon - Sat 09:00 - 17: 00 parking zone. They are 1 minute walk to the Fort. 


  • BEST FOR: Early morning Zones before 9:00 and great for evening bookings, ie: Evening Classes, Zones after 17:00


  • PARKING FEES ARE: approximately 85p an hour and they us the Ring Go app

FRONT OF THE BUILDING

We were able to negotiate use of our neighbours parking bays for out of office hours. This was to increase the safety of our Members attending the Fort in the darker winter mornings & evenings.

Please stay to the left of the door (as demonstrated in the picture). We also introduced vertical parking as we found it:

  1. Created more space for parking 
  2. Offered a 1 car out, 1 car in freedom. This way cars don't get trapped in and we utlise all the available space. 


  • BEST FOR:  
  • Early morning Zones = 5.00, 6.00 & 7.00 
  • Evening Zones from 19.00 onwards  


  • PLEASE DON'T USE DURING THE DAY

COUNCIL CAR PARKS

There is 2 sizeable council car parks within 1 minute walk of the Fort.

For our sessions this is a last ditch option. The above options should suffice.  This information is more for when we host events at the Fort, ie. Testimonial Nights, Games Nights, etc. 

On these evenings and nights we would be hosting guests and therefore may experience more cars, etc. 

TONE'S COFFEE SHOP

This has nothing to do with parking and is just an honourable mention.


Did you know?


There is a indepemdent, comfortable, quiet and relaxing coffee shop 2 minutes walk from the Fort, located in the Des Box development. 

So, for those of you wanting somewhere to meet up or somewhere to chill post-workout.
